A Tale of Two Crushes!

All of us have crushes at some point of time in our lives.They say real love happens only once .That's an entirely different story.Here i am ,telling you about my "celebrity "crushes in the past one year!!

Being a teen,I hardly had a crush,celebrity or not.When Hrithik came into news with Kaho naa..,he had girls being swept off their feet.I remember an entire issue of the 'India Today' being dedicated to the "lover boy with looks that could kill"!Well, I had no clue back then why girls watched the movie 20 times just to see him.Though I wouldn' still do something that crazy,I did end up liking celebrities..Eventually!Why the celebrities?!Maybe I imagined to be another charming celebrity ,waving my hand and walking gracefully,down the aisle in one of those charming Armani gowns with a Prada clutch purse and a plastic, well practised smile.Well ,I don't know.Maybe it was just a wild dream and everybody has one!

It all started with a young Malayalam actor.He was hot,intelligent,and with oodles of attitude and a Nair too!!Just what i wanted! :D My girlfriends and I used to talk nineteen to the dozen about him(unfortunately they liked him too,but I wasn't giving him to anybody!NOBODY BUT ME!\m/).And I did meet him one rainy afternoon !!At this quaint little place,and there he was,smiles and all,apparently busy on his laptop and humming a song!My heart missed a beat and we sat next to his table but not once did we talk to him!:( And busily clicked pics of ourselves.Poor thing ,he must have really expected at least the girls to come over and say a hi ,but attitude or not,none of us really bothered!:D And when he left,I ran behind to go talk to him but sadly I never caught up with him!!:(

        Few months later I was returning back from class when I checked my Facebook account, only to see heart -wrenching status updates about his marriage!Certainly a bolt from the blue!!My first celebrity crush..Down the drain!!The first ones to really send condolences were my cousin,followed by my aunt who talked normally for the first one minute and then was like, "He wasn't great anyway!" and we both burst out laughing!!:D My lovely friends followed of course.Still keep bragging me about my "love-loss"!!Ahemm,I was brave and didn't really listen to "My Love is Gone" though I love David Guetta(not literally !!)

       Anyway, I can't stand the sight of my one time hero now.I see his popularity going down too,thanks to his arrogance and attitude(which of course I never bothered about before!!) *evil grin* .:D And I thought I had come to an end of my celebrity crush saga,when it happened again!!

This time it was a guy from a dance reality show!At first glance I'm like "Okay,he's cute"!!With messed up hair and light eyes and a really charming smile,he seemed like yet another Hindi soap opera guy!The minute he started dancing(Classical,Kathak to be exact),I was blown over!!One of the best classical performances I have ever seen and to top it,he was strikingly hot!The next few days were spent in watching his dance performances from Youtube!*bless the website*What grace..what poise..and I fell head over heels till...

          Somebody happened to share his video and he had girls swooning of course.He was cute and danced amazingly well.No surprises why!I didn't really know at that point that I was about to get a teeny- weeny shock!!A little birdie told me actually..I realised that he's weird, ahem maybe like queer..Okay I'm done with the over acting.Let me make it clear!!He's gay!!*violin plays in background*.....:( And there goes yet another prospective young man!!

Thankfully, I have realised now that I was being one stupid girl when I have a long way to go in life.No more stupid celeb crushes,no more sashaying down the red carpet.My career is way more important,and maybe if I am lucky enough,I might just turn out into somebody people might look up to !:) :) So until that day,I'll just keep waiting..and waiting..and waiting!! And if you ask me to define 'celebrity' now,I might just tell you I haven't heard that word before and give you my biggest Chambers or Oxford and say "Refer it up yourself mate"..;)
